Over the next year we are developing a fly-on-the-wall series of films following the lives of people working in the Yorkshire Dales and northern hills. Filming will predominantly cover people at work, in all weather conditions, while they talk about a series of issues guided by open-ended questions. The questions will centre on day-to-day issues of working in the hills, combined with discussions on the future of land management and conservation. This will create a flowing series of films in which personalities, thoughts and perspectives are centre stage combined with footage of the Dale’s landscapes.

Our work will examine the following broad subjects:

  • Working in the dales and the future of the landscape

  • Changes to land management and conservation

  • Climate change and disease

  • A changing political landscape

  • Thoughts on the Dales in a changing world
